NPH and his family play for keeps when it comes to Halloween majesty. This year’s look? A quartet of recognizable Star Wars characters with nary a Jar Jar Binks in sight.
Neil Patrick Harris, husband David Burtka and their five-year-old twins Gideon and Harper were all decked out in costumes that double as Rebel Alliance propaganda. Here’s the bluffer’s guide: Harris is Obi-Wan Kenobi, Burtka is Han Solo and the kids are Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker. According to USA Today, this picture was taken at Central Park and not in a galaxy far far away which is the cheaper and more convenient way to go about it.
The family has a pretty impressive streak of high quality Halloween pageantry. Last year, Gotham City do-gooders and do-not-so-gooders was the theme. Get a load of that Riddler cane. Superb.
Before that, it was an Alice in Wonderland combo costume approach. That’s Tweedledee and Tweedledum in the back and the kids served as the star attraction as Alice and the White Rabbit.
That was just one of two (TWO!) team effort costumes from the family in 2013. Here’s what was busted out in the evening. Frankenstein (or Neil Patrick Harris’ Frankenstein’s Monster if you want to be a pr*ck about it) boldly defies the mouth open approach everyone else has in this snap.
