Pop singer Demi Lovato is being accused by indie pop band Sleigh Bells of ripping off some of their most recognizable songs. And the evidence is pretty damning.

A track called “Stars” from Lovato’s latest album Confident seems to have lifted the drums from “Infinty Guitars,” a song so omnipresent and recognizable in the early ’10s that it led to a feature in a Joseph Gordon-Levitt movie about bicycle messengers.

Sleigh Bells also accused Lovato of taking samples of their song “Riot Rhythm,” though whether or not she did that is less clear.

Lovato fans are freaking out that anyone would dare question Demi.

For something Lovato did wrong that’s a little more lighthearted than snatching someone else’s work without permission, check out her hilarious misunderstanding of an interviewer’s question.

UPDATE: “Stars” producers Carl Falk and Rami have denied sampling Sleigh Bells, saying: “We did not use any samples in Demi Lovato’s song ‘Stars.’ Demi was also not involved with the production. She only wrote top line.”
