There are flop attempts, and then there’s what John Henson tried to do against Tristan Thompson. Henson may be skinny, and Thompson may be very strong, but come on, not strong enough to blow Henson away like that. If Henson is going to try and sell those calls, he must find a balance between exaggeration and theatrical.
Too little movement, and the ref obviously won’t buy it. Too much, and the ref will just shake his head in amusement (exceptions can and often are made for star players, which Henson clearly is not). It has to be just right. Next time, Henson, make it seem as if Thompson shoved you down with, like, Batman strength, not Superman-level strength.
