A lot of things can be, and have been, said about Scott Stapp, the former lead singer of Creed. And rightfully so. Their brand of schlocky rock and Christ-like poses earned the ire of so many, while simultaneously also being wildly successful — the band sold more than 50 million albums, FYI. But, now that we are far enough away to let the rose colored glasses of nostalgia tint our memory of the band, Stapp has largely emerged from his rough substance abuse patch okay, and because they aren’t being played everywhere, something like Creed reviews Creed can emerge on the Internet and it can be the greatest thing you see today.

Funny or Die posted the first episode of a Can You Take Me to the Movies (sung to the tune of “Higher,” of course), and in it, the former post-grunge superstar gives his thoughts on the new film starring Michael B. Jordan. Most of those thoughts, however, are confusion of how the movie isn’t about him, his band, or standing on cliffs with your arms spread, and how it’s more about boxing. “One time, I punched a guy from 311, but I never boxed,” he adds. Too true. That’s not a joke, he actually did that.

Either way, his review is surprisingly cogent and pretty hilarious, and he proudly gave the movie 4 out of 5 Arms Wide Open. Creed opens on November 25, and you can read our review here.
