Watch 46-Year-Old Roy Jones, Jr. Get Knocked Out In Brutal Fashion

Perhaps it’s time for Roy Jones, Jr. to hang up the gloves. This notion that he can capture a cruiserweight title before he retires is both completely ridiculous and unbelievably sad. On Saturday night, the 46-year-old former champ (and boxing legend) went toe-to-toe with Enzo Maccarinelli, a man 11 years his junior. And you can probably guess what happened. Yeah, he got knocked into oblivion, hitting the mat face-first in the fourth round as the referee rushed over to call the bout.

Video of the knockout, which took place at the VTB arena in Moscow, is pretty damn brutal.

Those are some punishing blows. The uppercut in particular looked completely devastating. The loss moves Jones to 62-9 for his career. It is also his first loss since May of 2011.
