Taylor Swift opened the 2016 Grammy Awards by performing her latest single, “Out of the Woods,” while decked out in a sequined blue outfit. While it was less controversial than her last awards performance, during which she opened the 2015 MTV VMAs by joining former nemesis Nicki Minaj on stage to perform “Bad Blood,” she did cover the entire audience in glitter. Can’t say she didn’t leave an impression there.
Swift is nominated for 10 awards this year, highlighted by Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Blank Space,” as well as Album of the Year for 1989.
Prior to the ceremony, Swift won Best Pop Vocal Album for 1989 and Best Music Video for “Bad Blood,” breaking a personal Grammy shutout streak that’s lasted since she won Best Song Written for Visual Media for “Safe & Sound” in 2013.

The 1989 singer has now collected a grand total of nine Grammy awards in her nearly decade long career. Notably, Swift holds the distinction of being the youngest person at 18 years old to win the Album of the Year award for Fearless in 2008.
