Superhero movie post-credit scenes – we all love ’em. Even if the movie itself was disappointing, you can usually count on the post-credits stingers to deliver a cool tease, cameo or, at the very least, a solid chuckle. Well, it sounds like the credits for Captain America: Civil War will practically be a movie unto itself, serving up multiple post-credit scenes.
In a recent interview with Forbes, Anthony and Joe Russo, discussed Civil War‘s crowded credits…
“We can’t say who is going to be in it but we can say that there certainly could be one, or two, maybe three [post-credits scenes]. We can confirm that you should stay sat in your seats when the movie is done.”
Dang, three post-credits scenes. Of course, having a lot of stingers makes sense, as Civil War is the kickoff to Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and has to set up a lot of stuff. Obviously, we’re going to get something related tor Avengers: Infinity War, but what about some of the new upcoming characters? A Doctor Strange or Black Panther tease would certainly be in order. Also, now might be the time to tie together Marvel’s earthbound heroes and the cosmic characters of Guardians of the Galaxy. So yeah, take the Russos’ advice and stay in your seats.
In the same interview, the Russos also discussed their next directing gig, Avengers: Infinity War. Specifically, will the movie contain totally new characters we haven’t seen previously?
“New characters that are going to appear in Avengers: Infinity War. It’s a big sprawling ambitious movie, it’s about as ambitious as movies get and it should be, and the title alone indicates that there will be an incredible scape and scope to it.”
Definitely check out the rest of the Forbes interview below, as the Russos hit on a number of interesting topics, including the Internet’s mixed reaction to the new Spider-Man. Captain America: Civil War hits theaters May 6.
