Jimmy Kimmel welcomed Ted Cruz onto his show Wednesday night to set all this political jargon aside and see what this guy is really about. In a nutshell? Mostly what you’d expect. Kimmel started out by asking, point blank, who the senator likes better: Obama or Trump. Cruz replied that he dislikes Obama’s policies more, which was not exactly the answer to the question, but then went on to say, “Donald is a unique individual. I was watching the early part of the show, and if I were in my car and getting ready to reverse, and I saw Donald in the backup camera… I’m not confident which pedal I’d push.”
LOL Cruz! You and us, both. Some other fact nuggets learned about the Republican candidate over the course of the Q&A include: Cruz has seen seven out of seven of the Star Wars films (and the last one may or may not have made him a bit verklempt), his favorite cereal is Mueslix (after clarifying “serial killer or cereal?” like a totally 100% normal person), and that “Men At Work” was Cruz’s first concert.
What does everybody think? He is definitely a… person, but presidential material? Much like Cruz’s answer to whether or not he’s really the lead singer of Stryper, “time will tell.”
