Bellator is motivated to expand its borders with a new international push to promote their brand, and the first stop outside of the U.S. in 2016 put them in Italy, where a reported crowd of nearly 14,000 fans lined up to see some of their favorite (only?) Italian MMA fighters kick ass.

The only problem with Bellator taking a trip to Italy was the fact that the broadcast time was all messed up, and the show started slightly later than usual. If this caused you to miss Bellator 152, it’s a shame, because the entire card was a fun watch punctuated by UFC vet Alessio Sakara’s violent knockout of Brian Rogers.
Sakara spent most of his time in the UFC at middleweight, but moved from 185 pounds back to 205 after being cut in 2013 by the promotion following four-straight losses. He’s only fought three times in the last three years, but it looks like his strength and speed have returned with the lack of weight cut.
After the fight, Sakara called out Rampage Jackson for a fight in Bellator Kickboxing (Bellator’s kickboxing sister promotion if you couldn’t tell by the name). The fact that fighters have an outlet for shorter, stand up only fights seems like a fantastic way to keep the fans entertained and the fighters active.
