Kesha Helped A Gay Couple Get Engaged On Stage At Disney World

Kesha has long been a vocal proponent for LGBT causes, so it’s no surprise that she was chosen to perform at Disney World’s Gay Day celebration on Saturday. The pop singer made the concert especially memorable by assisting a gay couple with their surprise engagement. She brought two of her fans onstage for the successful proposal, which she called a “monumental moment.”

“[I was] overcome and overwhelmed with emotion on stage last night,” Kesha said via Instagram, adding “love is the magic in life, and really there is nothing more important” and “my heart melted and I cried [after he said yes].”

As for the happy couple, one of the newly engaged men wrote it was “the most incredible, amazing, and beautiful moment of our lives that we will cherish forever” in the caption for a Instagram selfie of him, his fiancé, and Kesha.

While Kesha is still caught up in a lawsuit with her producer Dr. Luke and Sony Music, the “Die Young” artist hasn’t let the drama keep her down. In addition to releasing a new song with Zedd, she’s performed at festivals and award shows, including Dylan Fest and the 2016 Billboard Music Awards. Hopefully, Kesha will be free to record new music soon, but in the meantime it’s nice to see her smiling and performing live more often — and doing nice things for her fans, to boot.
