3. Washington: Otto Porter – Georgetown
6-8, SF
19 years old, Sophomore
This one makes sense, both in fit and in talent. Porter Jr. is an improved shooter who can play defense. As a legitimate small forward, he now gives John Wall two outside options, along with Bradley Beal. He’s not a tremendous athlete, but just as Tayshaun Prince was, he doesn’t have to be. He’s 6-8 or 6-9 and has a long wingspan.
If the Wizards can stay healthy this year upfront with Nene and Emeka Okafor, Washington should make the playoffs.
