Never forget that the Millenium Falcon once belonged to Lando Calrissian. It was Han Solo winning a game of sabacc that put the Corellian YT-1300 light freighter into the hands of one the greatest smugglers the universe would ever know, and Calrissian was salty about it for years.

The original Star Wars trilogy hinted at a friendship between Han and Lando that spanned star systems and was full of adventure, and recently, rumor had it that Donald Glover, Atlanta star, hip hop virtuoso and Community (I’ll never let you go) funny man would be playing a young Lando in the upcoming Han Solo prequels.

In talking with Time, Glover didn’t shoot down the possibility of him playing the Baron Administrator of Cloud City, but he didn’t really say it was happening either.

“Yep. There are rumors. I mean, I grew up on [Star Wars]. My dad was a big fan. I had all the toys when I was little. I had a Darth Vader with the lightsaber he has. It was cool. It’s a dynasty. It’s like the bible. I love that franchise.”

Rumors have to come from somewhere, right? And those rumors probably find their way to the zeitgeist because Donald Glover is perfect for the role, right? So someone needs to cast him in the young Han Solo movie, right?

Right?
