IFC is releasing an extra 20 chapters of R. Kelly’s “Trapped in the Closet” series this Friday, the 23rd, which is something you should be more excited about than spending time with your dumb family and/or eating cranberry slices. If this was an Anticipation Index, it’d go: stuffing > more “Trapped in the Closet” > everything else.
Vulture spoke to one of the stars of the “hip-hopera,” Michael K. Williams, best known as Omar Little from HBO’s The Wire, about what Kells parties are like. I would throw so many cats out of so many airplanes to attend an R. Kelly party. Know that dancing little people and McDonald’s are involved, and that everything’s animated. Yes.
You can see the rest of the excellent panels here, but I’d also like to point out the existence of the “Awkward White People Singing R. Kelly” Tumblr. It’s only a matter of time before “Ignition (Remix)” supplants “Yesterday” as the most covered song of all-time.
