If Ryan Murphy isn’t writing nine shows at once, he doesn’t know what to do with himself. The new seasons of American Horror Story and Scream Queens just premiered; American Crime Story season two and Feud season one are in production; and I’m sure he’s trying to bring back Glee and The New Normal, or something. Murphy is also working on what he calls a “secret season” of American Horror Story that better not involve any screaming spiders.
“I’ve been working with a writer on a season that only he and I know. It’s like a two-year project that we’ll continue to work on the sly and not tell anybody,” he told Entertainment Weekly, failing to realize that secret secrets are no fun, secret secrets hurt someone. (Though in typical AHS fashion, the hurt someone will magically come back to life.) Murphy added that he’s not sure when the season will air, because “it’s a different way of doing it. It’s one person writing all episodes. I don’t know if it’s going to work but it’s like, well, let’s try that. We might get them done and shoot them on the sly and drop it.”
Let’s see: Ryan Murphy, secret season, one other writer, probably something about aliens. Are you thinking what I’m thinking? That’s right: American Horror Story: Battlefield Earth. (Once Travolta is finished playing Bush, that is.)
