Tennessee Shocked Georgia With A Hail Mary In This Year’s Craziest College Football Finish

A lot of people wondered if Georgia could upset Tennessee one week after the Volunteers won an emotional game against its biggest rival, Florida. The Bulldogs looked like they were going to do just that, but weren’t able to thanks to this unreal Hail Mary by the Volunteers to end the game.

As Tennessee coach Butch Jones said after the game, “this is what college football is all about.”

Following the performance, quarterback Josh Dobbs – who delivered the game-winning pass to Jauan Jennings – said, “You see Hail Marys and you never think you’re going to be a part of one.”

Well Josh, you’re a part of one now. And Tennessee’s serendipitous start to 2016 continued. The Vols have recovered almost every fumble they’ve been a part of, got the Florida losing streak monkey off their back, and now have a Hail Mary to boot. And it’s barely October. Tennessee is in the driver’s seat for the SEC East, and is still in the running for the College Football Playoff as well. Wins like his certainly don’t hurt.

Here’s the touchdown that Georgia got out of freshman Jacob Eason to be in a position to win in the first place:

The Bulldogs are going to be feeling this one for a long time.
