AMC just released video of the Conan O’Brien-moderated Breaking Bad panel in front of the Academy of Arts and Sciences, in which Vince Gilligan and just about all the cast (sans Aaron Paul, who was presumably busy looking puzzled at a fashion show) discuss all things Walter White and the looming final season with one of their most famous and ardent fanboys.
I can’t believe this wasn’t more publicized. I’m still not sure when exactly (recently enough for a Cranston-script dig) it was filmed and I’m registered for a “Vince Gilligan talks” Google Alert.
The whole thing is predictably wonderful, blending fascinating Breaking Bad insights with Conan’s impeccable interview skills and comedy timing. I can’t recommend it enough. It is also an hour long, so carve out some time or pull on headphones and pretend to be working. If you’re a government employee maybe it qualifies as ricin investigation. I’m not sure.
Regardless, I think we can all agree we need to soak up all the Breaking Bad we can while we have it.
UPDATE: Saul Goodman spin-off talk starts around the 50 minute mark.
