Here’s The Unbelievable Video Of The Texas Explosion That’s Claimed Numerous Lives And Injured Many

What is going on these days? I mean, seriously. While we’re all still reeling from the tragedy in Boston, we now have to wrap our heads around the devastation near Waco, Texas. Here’s what we know: a fertilizer plant caught on fire a couple of hours ago then it suddenly exploded, causing widespread devastation in the area. According to EMS there have been at least 100 injured in the blast.

(UPDATE: As of 9:45 EST this morning, the New York Times is reporting that the blast has killed “as many as 15 people and injuring more than 160 others.”)


Details are incredibly sketchy but we’ll definitely keep you updated. In the meantime, this video from right in front of the plant as it exploded has just surfaced and it’s incredibly terrifying.

And just in case you weren’t freaked out enough, here’s the cover to the New York Times from April, 17, 1947 that depicts a small Texas town ravaged by a huge fertilizer plant explosion. It was the deadliest industrial accident in American history.
