The American history buffs out there are probably all too familiar with the Architect of the Capitol, as its website provides an endless stream of information about the history of some of Washington DC’s most important and iconic government buildings. Of course, it’s no interactive map of Springfield, but I guess learning about the Cannon House and Russell Senate Office Buildings is kind of cool, too.
Well, the folks at the Architect put together an absolutely incredible video that offers us an animated look at the construction of Capitol Hill and beyond, from the foundations to the rooftops, and because the Internet is also a wonderful, amazing place sometimes, someone went ahead and dubbed the Game of Thrones opening theme over it, because… it just works.
