Drake Unveiled Two Kentucky-Inspired OVO x Jordan 8s Dropping This Year

Drake and Jordan Brand have collaborated on four pairs of retro Jordans in the past, with two pairs of 10s and two pairs of 12s, most recently an all-black 12 that had the signature OVO gold as little specks of color. That was released on All-Star Weekend, but Drake and Jordan Brand aren’t done for 2017.

On Monday, Drake unveiled the latest OVO x Jordan collaboration on his Instagram, a two-pack of Jordan 8s that moves away from his first four shoes that all featured some combination of white, gold, or black. This time, Drake draws inspiration from his favorite college team, the Kentucky Wildcats, for what he’s dubbed the “Calipari Pack,” named for Big Blue Nation’s fearless leader John Calipari.

He’s still going with the one white, one black shoe approach, but this time instead of gold the trim is Kentucky blue. The tab on the back of the shoe features the signature OVO owl logo, in case you forgot who was behind the design. There’s no release date set for the Calipari Pack other than Drake’s captions saying “2017” and “soon,” and we also don’t know whether these will only be sold together in a pack or if they’ll be available separately as well.
