The NBA MVP race is impossibly tight, and with votes starting to come out publicly by way of “here’s why I voted for X” columns – shoutout to the NBA’s policy of making votes public so people have to explain things – it’s still difficult to figure out who will win. Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard and LeBron James all have easily made cases for why they should win, and supporters of each will try to poke holes in the others by pointing out flaws like not playing defense, not winning enough, or not scoring like the rest.
There really isn’t a wrong answer between the four, but the arguments persist. The latest to make their case for an MVP candidate is none other than Sisqo. Yes, that Sisqo, the one that made the “Thong Song” and the amazing “Unleash the Dragon” video. For whatever reason, The Herd on FS1 had Sisqo record a special remix of the “Thong Song” to be the “LeBron Song,” advocating for LeBron James to be the MVP.
So, yeah. Here it is.

It’s surprisingly not as terrible as I expected when I first saw that this was happening. Shoutout to Sisqo for still collecting those checks, never stop getting your money. As for the merits for the arguments made against the other candidates in the video, I’m not sure “boring” is the best argument against Kawhi for an MVP award, but sure.
