It looks like Vince Staples next major musical project is coming sooner that we all thought. The Long Beach rapper took to Twitter today where he revealed what appears to be the cover to his next full-length album Big Fish Theory. The image shows a gigantic sized Goldfish in an regular sized bowl. In the caption, he seems to have announced the released day as well, “Friday 12 AM.”

Details about what the album will sound like and how many tracks it will carry remain almost non-existent. Sonically, all we have to go on at the moment is his bracing single “Bagbak.” If his regular pattern of releasing shorter EPs like last year’s Prima Donna, with longer projects, like the double-disc Summertime ’06, holds we could be in for another super sized album come Friday.

When asked about Big Fish Theory in a recent interview Complex, Vince was characteristically coy, but said, “It encompasses things: Being larger than life in a smaller world, so to say. How rappers are perceived and perceive themselves.” Adding, “We’re still large in our own right, even though we’re kind of in a smaller facilitative space. They’re still not even showing all the hip-hop awards on the Grammys, and things like that, but you still find these great personalities and these great success stories within the small pond that is our music.”
