There’s a rather large contingent of people out there that frankly hate mumble rap. They just can’t seem to get the appeal of rappers who fail to enunciate clearly in their music, artists like Future, Lil Uzi Vert or Young Thug. These fans crave a time when rap was all about lyrical precision and legends like the Notorious B.I.G. held sway. In a new parody video shared to YouTube, Shakamania X espouses the views of those who refuse to understand the new wave.

Nicking the beat, melody, and visuals from the song “Humble,” created by one of the most lyrical adept artists out there today, Kendrick Lamar, the parody takes mumble rap and the artist who created the wave to task. “I remember way back when a n****a rapped in English / Now they speak in tongues and it’s just a bunch of gibberish,” the song begins. Then he goes on to name some very specific offenders. “Yachty to Desiigner, Uzi to that Lil Pump,” before pleading on the chorus, “Speak up b*tch, speak up / Don’t mumble.”

Whether you’re an enemy of mumble rap or a true stan of one of the artists mentioned in the clip, the entire video is tremendously hilarious and definitely worth checking out.
