Thursday Night Football has a reputation for being terrible. Games are usually ugly, teams perpetually look like they are a little off due to the fact that they don’t have their usual week to heal up from their previous game, and the list of people who genuinely enjoy the concept of Thursday games is really short. Well, other than when we have fun moments involving Tony Romo and a cat.
But this past Thursday, we got something legitimately great out of the game between the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills. New York came out on top, 34-21, in a game that was kind of forgettable despite the fact that the teams convinced to score 55 points.
The thing that made the game memorable, though, was the fact that the Jets’ defense created a meme. It’s called #JetsDanceToAnything, and it is tremendous.

It’s funny, it’s clever, and it’s a way to make a joke out of something that happened organically. The Jets’ defense wasn’t planning on doing anything other than getting the fans at MetLife Stadium pumped up during a time out, and yet we have something as fantastic as #JetsDanceToAnything.
The above video shows them dancing to “Everytime We Touch” by Cascada. Here is the defense having way too much fun while “A Thousand Miles” by Vanessa Carlton plays.

If you are watching this and you think “Hey, it would be great if this was set to Darude’s ‘Sandstorm,'” then you’re in luck!

This one doesn’t work especially well, but why not see what it would look like if the Jets dance to the theme song to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air?

Staying with the whole television theme, here is Gang Green dancing to “Shiny Teeth and Me,” performed by Chip Skylark on The Fairly OddParents, because why not.

The Jets danced to everything from “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins…

Lastly, this one might be my favorite for reasons I cannot fully understand: The New York Jets dancing to “Snap Yo Fingers” by Lil John.
Best one yet!#JetsDanceToAnything pic.twitter.com/u0fMqynZjP

At the beginning of the season, it looked like the most memorable Jets moment this year would have been something unfortunate, like a really awful record or Austin Sefarian-Jenkins getting screwed out of a touchdown against the Patriots. Instead that moment came during a win over the Bills, and it didn’t have anything to do with playing football.
