Andre Drummond And Lou Williams Were Not Fans Of Their All-Star Game Snubs

The 2018 NBA All-Star Game player pool is out. We have known the players that captains LeBron James and Steph Curry would get to choose as starters for a few days, and on Tuesday evening, we learned what players will make up the benches for both sides. While there any weren’t any massive snubs — well, at least to the extent that everyone deserved to be there — a pair of players were quite upset with their exclusion.

Let’s start with Andre Drummond, the Detroit Pistons’ big man who has been a monster this season. Guys like Kevin Love, Kristaps Porzingis, and Al Horford made it in as frontcourt players in the Eastern Conference, much to Drummond’s chagrin. He took to Twitter after the news dropped that he’d be missing out and went off with some NSFW language.

Drummond’s middle tweet ended up getting some love and support from ESPN’s Jalen Rose.

In the Western Conference, we have Lou Williams, the Clippers’ dynamic guard who was gunning for his first invite to the game. Instead of Williams, the reserve guards out west will include Damian Lillard, Klay Thompson, and Russell Westbrook.

While he wasn’t as, um, vocal about his disappointment for being left out as Drummond, Williams still went off on Twitter.

Williams also retweeted a tweet that showed how dynamic he’s been this year.

It’s important to note that these two could still conceivably make it in the event someone has to pull out due to an injury, but by the unfortunate nature of how roster composition for the All-Star Game works, deserving guys like Drummond and Williams will always miss out. As long as that happens, dudes will be upset and tweet about their disappointment.
