For anyone that was in their formative years in the early 2000s, the And1 Mixtape Tour is likely a part of what made you a basketball fan. It came at a perfect time, as Allen Iverson, young Kobe Bryant, Tracy McGrady, Vince Carter and others were the leading young stars in the NBA, who all played with a little bit of that flair that made streetballers so appealing.
Among those that were the most popular streetballers on the Tour was Phillip Champion aka Hot Sauce. Hot Sauce was a fan favorite on the Tour for his incredible dribbling skills and propensity for clowning defenders off the bounce.
The streetball legend still plays in Atlanta, but also makes appearances at Hawks games for a segment called “Handles Like Hot Sauce” in which a fan has to try and stop Hot Sauce from scoring for a full 24 seconds. The results are predictably hilarious.

Within the first two seconds Hot Sauce has already bounced the ball off of the young man’s face, which seals his fate. There’s no coming back from that. Once someone bounces the ball off of your face and continues dribbling you’re going to be so stunned and discombobulated that the minuscule chance you had of winning this challenge to begin with is completely gone. Hot Sauce then toys with the poor guy for about 10 seconds before hitting him with the mean hesi, driving to the rack and easily laying it in to remain undefeated.
