Wealthy Hamptons Residents Really Don’t Like That The Kardashians Are Filming There

Second-string Kardashians Kourtney and Khloe are currently in Southampton filming the latest season of their “Take Over” reality show, this one titled Kourtney & Khloé Take The Hamptons. Let’s check in with the locals to see how things are going, shall we?

[Advertising mogul Jerry] Della Femina, who has a new house in Bridgehampton, added: “I view [the Kardashian situation] like people viewed the plague in the Middle Age. I just want to survive it.”

THE PLAGUE!

“We’ve had other circuses come to town — Sean Combs with his White Party, and ‘The Real Housewives of New York City.’ But we’ve never had paparazzi before. This will bring it to a whole other level.”

THEY CALL PUFF DADDY “SEAN COMBS”!

“The Kardashians really repulse people because they are cheapening the [Hamptons] brand,” Gaines said. “Thank God they are only staying for three months.”

WON’T SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE BRANDS?

Okay, yes, fine. People aren’t fond of the Kardashians. Not exactly breaking news. But what about the woman who rented them the storefront being used for the show, longtime Southampton resident Irma Herzog?

“She’s being tormented and harassed by Southamptonites.” […]

Asked if he would boycott the Driver’s Seat, Della Femina, who sold his oceanfront East Hampton house last year, told me, “Forget about the Driver’s Seat. People are going to avoid Southampton! [Irma] should be brought up on charges.”

To recap: A couple rich people rented a mansion for the summer and a bunch of other rich people are furious about it, and you get to sit back and laugh about it forever because everyone involved appears to be terrible. Have a great summer!
