So, uh, remember that song Robin Thicke performed at the Billboard Music Awards called “Get Her Back” that was dedicated to his estranged wife Paula Patton? Yeeeeeah, so that was only the tip of the sad iceberg because wait til you hear what he’s calling his new album. Via Us Weekly:
Thicke’s upcoming record, due out July 1, will be called Paula, his rep tells Us. It will include the single “Get Her Back,” which the chart-topping star debuted at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards in May. Introducing the song onstage, Thicke said, “All right, y’all, help me get her back.”
Together since high school, the longtime sweethearts announced their decision to separate back in February, after nearly 9 years of marriage. A source told Us Weekly at the time that Thicke “wanted to save their marriage, but it was Paula’s choice and she ended it.” The insider added, “Robin does not want this divorce.”
Oh, sage Us Weekly “insider,” do tell some of your other surreptitious insights! Perhaps something about the color or the sky or where bears defecate? Anyway, I am equal parts anticipating and dreading hearing the titles of the other tracks on this album, but here are some guesses:
“Coasters Are There For A Reason”
“I Didn’t Really Mean Those Things I Said About Your Mother”
“I’m Sorry About That Time I Tried To Fix The Dishwasher Myself (Baby, Next Time I’ll Call A Plumber)”
“Toiler Seat Stays Down Down Down”
“I’ll Never Come Home Again … With The Kind Of Parmesan Cheese That’s Not Refrigerated”
“Oh Yeah, And Sorry About That Transsexual Hooker”
Just take him back, Paula! Whatever it is he’s done, the man is sorry for God’s sake!
