It’s been a day of sad news, but at least we can look back on one of the stories with a bit of laughter. As we noted, Elaine Stritch passed away at the age of 89 and left behind a string of memorable performances as her legacy.
In tribute, The Late Show unearthed this classic clip from July 5, 1996 where Strich kept popping up to berate David Letterman for being a piss poor pool boy. It’s over six minutes of late night gold and well worth a watch. There’s even an appearance from Randy Quaid looking very much alive despite having sacrificed his life saving the planet only a few days before this interview. Hollywood is such bullsh*t at times.
