Wide receiver Brandon Marshall has reportedly been traded from Chicago to the Jets, pending a physical. According to a report at Bear Report, which was later confirmed by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the trade is for a “late-round” pick and will be made official next Tuesday once the new league year begins and offseason NFL trades can be made.

Marshall is coming off his least-productive season since his rookie year and failed to reach 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in seven seasons. News of Marshall’s trade is a strong indication that new Bears GM Ryan Pace is reshaping a roster that underachieved in 2014 to the tune of a 5-11 record and a last place finish in the NFC North.
A healthy Marshall provides New York with an interesting wide receiver trio along with Eric Decker and Percy Harvin, provided all three will remain with the team. As for the Bears, they will now turn to fourth-year receiver Alshon Jeffery as their new No. 1.
