In 2010, researchers from the University of California, Berkeley released a paper titled “Tactile Communication, Cooperation and Performance: An Ethological Study of the NBA,” which basically stated that teams who touch more, win more. The researchers found that the best teams in the NBA were more tactile with one another — think high-fives, butt-slaps, chest-bumps and the like.
If that’s true, if more touching results in more chemistry, than the Los Angeles Clippers must have the worst chemistry in the NBA. That, or no one likes Ekpe Udoh.
