Roger Federer and Grigor Dimitrov were in the middle of an exhibition match at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday as a part of World Tennis Day when Dimitrov invited a young boy to come out onto the court and give it a go against the Swiss tennis legend.
It’s clear Federer had a ringer on his hands as the boy more than held his own against tennis’s greatest of all time, returning several volley’s before eventually taking the point with a perfectly placed lob.
He only stuck around for one point, which is the right play in my opinion; you always quit while you’re ahead.
