Clint Capela’s first NBA points were rather uninspiring – a simple alley-oop slammed home with little authority or feeling.
Fortunately, Capela got an opportunity to make a better impression, and he followed through on it with gusto.
That’s a tremendous display of athleticism, launching towards the rim from just outside the restricted area when he just stopped his momentum.
Capela was selected 25th overall in the draft. He’s spent most of his rookie year with the Rockets’ D-League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. With the Rockets shorthanded tonight due to injuries and rest, he got the chance to play significant minutes. So far, he’s looking like a keeper.
