A's fans who don't want to attend LGBT Pride Night on 6/17 & wish to sell your tix – I have an idea: sell them to me http://t.co/np33egf8EI

Eireann Dolan is a blogger and the girlfriend of Sean Doolittle, pitcher for the Oakland A’s. Having two gay moms, Dolan was excited when the team announced they’d be holding their first pride night. But her happiness shifted quickly when fans were disappointed by the theme night and said they wanted to sell their tickets to the game. But Dolan decided to turn other people’s negativity into something good.
So, A’s fans; if attending a baseball game on LGBT Pride Night makes you at all uncomfortable, it is probably a good idea to sell your tickets. And I have the perfect buyer. ME!
If you’d like to sell your tickets to June 17th’s LGBT Pride Night game, I will buy them from you at face value. As many as I can. No judgments. No questions asked.
From there, I will donate any tickets I purchase to the Bay Area Youth Center’s Our Space community for LGBTQ youth.
That way you don’t have to feel uncomfortable, and the seats don’t go to waste. It’s win-win.
After the overwhelming response to her blog post, Dolan and Doolittle started a GoFundMe campaign to purchase more tickets and donate them to OurSpace. As of writing this, the campaign has earned $4,200 in just six hours. Doolittle has offered to match any tickets purchased by Dolan.
Sometimes other people’s insensitivity can inspire real goodness.
