WrestleMania 31 just happened a week ago, but that doesn’t mean WWE isn’t already planning WrestleMania 32. And according to the Wrestling Observer, what the pro wrestling company wants above all other things is Ronda Rousey vs. Stephanie McMahon.
The two tussled along with The Rock and Triple H at this year’s big event, creating one of the most memorable WrestleMania moments of the show. The next day, fans broke into a spontaneous Rousey chant when McMahon appeared on Monday Night Raw.
Rouseymania is clearly running wild on everyone, so it’s no surprise that WWE wants to tap into it again. But will UFC let it happen? According to her agent, Ronda’s original WrestleMania appearance was a “one-off” arranged months in advance as promotion for her role in Furious 7. UFC heads may not be cool with a repeat performance, or the idea of Rousey doing a full match rather than a single judo throw/armbar like this year.
But Ronda Rousey is one of those rare stars in UFC who gets to do what she wants, and the Wrestling Observer claims that “an understanding” is in place for her to take on Stephanie in one capacity or another. Really, what’s the worst that could happen? Rousey gets even more famous? That would be terrible for everyone!
