Blake Griffin was rather unkind to Aron Baynes last night. Like an Englishman who take’s Kipling’s poem as a call to colonize, Griffin conquered Baynes, not once, not twice, but three times.
His second slam on Baynes, we already showed you, but here it is again in slow mo:
But Blake’s first, and especially his last smash on the Spurs center during his thumping and jumping third quarter also sent Staples Center into a tizzy.
First, here’s Blake’s swift move past Baynes for his opening two-handed smash:
But Blake’s third dunk in Baynes’ grill might have been even more impressive than his first two. That’s because he spun past Cory Joseph before lifting off and jamming it over Baynes.
His second dunk, the one we featured last night, was more to the side of the Australian’s out-stretched hand. This one saw Blake extend it above Baynes to add a little more insult to his assault.
Griffin finished with 26 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, three steals and three blocks in the 107-92 win, continuing his exemplary play against the Spurs from the regular season.
