There was once a time when Adam Sandler could carry a funny tune, and the audience would go nuts. This was back in his SNL days, but that’s not to say that Sandler’s ode to David Letterman — performed Tuesday night as part of the host’s ongoing goodbye — wasn’t entertaining (especially one line about his mother’s feelings for Dave), but the Sandler shtick has run dry. Anyway, it was still nice of Sandler to tribute Dave on his way out. See it for yourself above.
In other late-night music, Nate Ruess brought his unique performance stylings to The Tonight Show with a little help from house band, The Roots. (Question: Doesn’t it seem like everyone on The Tonight Show needs The Roots’ help? Where are their own bands?)
