You really never know what you’ll come across when kicking around a county fair. They’re one of the last places in a civilized society where 1) almost anything goes, and 2) almost anything can happen.
This was especially true for fair attendees at Conejo Valley Days, a county fair in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
One minute, you’re watching the third annual Outhouse Races. The next, you’re watching the Foo Fighters blaze through some of your favorite classic rock tunes.
Dave Grohl, along with fellow Foos Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee, joined their drummer Taylor Hawkins’ side gig — cover band Chevy Metal — for an impromptu set in the California sunshine. Foo Fighters are currently on a break in between tours supporting their latest release, Sonic Highways, and wouldn’t you do the same if you were one of them and had a free afternoon?
