Last night, I completely forgot that Amy Schumer was appearing on The Bachelorette, and sadly only caught the last half of the segment which involved the dudes vying for Kaitlyn Bristowe’s heart by having to partake in a stand-up comedy competition after seeing someone post about it on Twitter. Then, I ended up watching the entire following hour in case Schumer would show back up, which she didn’t, although it wasn’t a total wash because I got to see some total psycho get kicked off of the show. Should I start watching The Bachelorette?
At any rate, Hulu has the above clip of Ms. Schumer prepping the guys for their stand up acts, in which she counsels a 32-year-old former investment banker named J.J. Despite being a divorced, single dad who lives with his parents, J.J. says that his biggest concern is that he’s too smart for like “90 percent” of the audience. Amy lets him know that’s probably not the case, and later says to the camera, “Maybe when he sees the show, he’ll reflect on himself, and not be such a turd.” Here I thought being a turd was at least half of the criteria to be a contestant on The Bachelorette.
