After leaving his team’s win over the Dallas Mavericks with pain in his surgically repaired right foot, Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant said he was unsure how to alleviate pain going forward. Well, at least he and the team’s medical personnel came up with a plan.
According to multiple outlets, the Thunder announced today that Durant underwent a minor procedure to replace the screw in his right foot and will re-evaluated next week.

Durant's procedure was to replace the screw he had in his foot with a new one. It's unrelated to his foot fracture that he had surgery on.

Durant suffered a Jones fracture of his foot in September and was subsequently sidelined the first month of the season. He also sprained the ankle of the same foot just before Christmas and missed Oklahoma City next six games. The reigning MVP sat out of last night’s Thunder win over the Charlotte Hornets with what the team deemed “soreness.”
30-25 Oklahoma City has won five straight games to position itself as a season-best eighth-place in the Western Conference. Russell Westbrook and company travel to face the ninth-place Phoenix Suns on Thursday for a matchup with obvious playoff implications – the Thunder lead Jeff Hornacek’s team by just a game and-a-half in the standings.
Durant has already missed 28 games in 2014-2015.
