NEW YORK — Tim Duncan is a relatively energetic “Old Man Riverwalk.” The 38-year-old Spurs center has five NBA championships and was voted in by the coaches as a reserve for his 15th NBA All-Star Game this year — the third most ever. He’s still playing at an All-Star level, but he’s ancient in comparison to his teammates tonight.
Anthony Davis, the youngest All-Star this year, was just four years-old when Duncan made his All-Star debut in February of 1998.
Western Conference coach Steve Kerr plans to use his position coaching his old Spurs teammate to wear Duncan down — like he tried to do at yesterday’s practice:
No word on whether Kerr’s really going to match his Western Conference rival’s best player against ‘Melo.
But Kerr says coaching ex-teammate Tim Duncan is what he most looks forward to at ASW and does like idea of making Duncan chase around Melo

But you know Tim wasn’t out in Manhattan making the rounds in a chic outfit this weekend, so he’s probably plenty rested.
