Stephen Curry wasn’t his normally brilliant self for the Golden State Warriors’ tilt with the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night. The MVP frontrunner is such a wildly confident shooter, however, that he hardly needs to be on point to break a close game wide open with a flurry of treys.
The previous two Warriors possessions ended with Curry three-pointers from roughly the same spot on the floor. As he found a sliver of space and set his feet for a third bomb in as many tries, Oracle Arena rose to its feet in anticipation of another make. Was there any doubt this shot was dropping?
Not for Curry – he turned to mean-mug Milwaukee’s Khris Middleton and further rouse the Dubs’ crowd just as it reached its apex.
Cold. Blooded.
And just over one minute after Steph’s onslaught began, a three-point Golden State lead was suddenly double-digits. It’s no wonder Steve Kerr’s team is 47-12. Curry finished with 19 points, 11 assists, and six three-pointers in the Warriors’ 102-93 win over the Bucks.
