Most people watching feared the worst when DeMarre Carroll went down with a knee injury late in the Atlanta Hawks’ Game 1 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was in the middle of a Cavs run that extended the visitors’ lead to double digits. At the time, it seemed the sky was falling. Even though the Hawks’ inspiring run fell short, it at least gave Hawks fans a bit of hope.
Now, good news about Carroll’s knee has hope surging in Atlanta:

That sound you heard was Hawks fans exhaling. Carroll is listed as questionable for Game 2, which is amazing news. It seemed inconceivable at the time of his injury that he would be back for the next game, but if he returns, the Hawks won’t have to thin out their already-depleted bench even further. It’s still very much a series in the Eastern Conference Finals.
