Lamar Odom Is Allegedly Conscious, But There Are Conflicting Reports On His Condition

If it’s true, the latest report regarding the status of Lamar Odom is a good one. On Thursday it appeared as though Odom’s condition had taken a turn for the worse and that it was “not looking good,” but now there appears to be some hope that Odom may just pull through after all.

ET Online is reporting that Odom was able to open his eyes and communicate. When he was asked whether he wanted to see his children, Odom reportedly was able to indicate that he did, although it is unclear at this time if it was a verbal or non-verbal communication.

In more great news, TMZ is also reporting that Odom’s heart is functioning at a much higher level than it was previously, which is a huge step if Odom is going to recover at all.

However, TMZ’s report conflicts with ET’s version of events regarding Odom’s ability to communicate. They’re saying that Odom’s movements have been involuntary and are not a sign of communication.

If somehow you missed it, Odom was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel back on Tuesday with multiple drugs in his system and has been in a coma and critical condition ever since.

If even one of these reports are true, it’s a huge step in the right direction and makes recovery seem like a legitimate possibility. However it is still far too early to tell, and whether TMZ or ET is correct in their version of events will be a huge factor in determining how far along he is in that process.
