Monday’s Game 5 in Golden State didn’t go the way that the Curry family had hoped. Instead of closing out the NBA Finals against the Cavaliers and celebrating on their home court, the Warriors came up on the short end of a 112-97 decision and will be heading back to Cleveland for Game 6.
Stephen Curry dropped 25 points in the loss, but certainly didn’t have his best game, as he shot 8-21 from the field — just 38 percent — and was outperformed by both Kyrie Irving and LeBron James, who torched the Dubs for 41 points each.
Curry’s wife, Ayesha, was in the building (as usual) and was understandably not thrilled with what she saw. Not only was she disappointed that Golden State couldn’t wrap up their title defense, she also was seemingly displeased with the way the game was officiated.
Can refs get fined?

Whether you agree with her assessment of the referees or not, that’s an innocent enough tweet from someone bummed about the game. As a sports fan, there are plenty of times when I’ve cursed officiating in the wake of a crushing loss, regardless of whether it truly had an effect or not. Sometimes you’ve just got to blame something to make yourself feel better.
But since Ayesha is Ayesha, she’s in the public spotlight, and since Twitter can be a terrible place sometimes, she obviously got some nasty replies. (If you don’t believe us, go ahead and look for yourselves, but they won’t receive validation here.)
As the terrible (and often very personal) responses came rolling in, Curry had just one simple message for those sending hate her way.
It's amazing how quick you all are to call me out of my name and wish pain on my family and I've never used one obscenity or foul word back.

That’s one hell of a way to shake it off. Then she went on living her life and played Mario Kart with Steph after the game.
