The Cleveland Cavaliers are one more loss away from finishing runner-up to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals for the second consecutive year. In 2016, this obviously means that they’re also one loss away from being the subject of approximately one million Crying Jordan memes – because nobody loses in 2016 without getting Crying Jordan’d.
But instead of going the usual route and preparing a Photoshop with the infamous tearful mug of Michael Jordan, one innovative troll decided to mock the Cavs in his or her own special way. That genius instead bought the CryingJordan.com domain name and forwarded the landing page to the team’s official website. If you don’t believe us, go ahead and type that baby into your browser.
That’s a pretty good bit of trolling by a basketball fan who clearly doesn’t want to see Cleveland’s longstanding title drought get snapped. What would have made it better, though, is if they were able to somehow hack the Cavs’ official team site, then forward it to CryingJordan.com.
Regardless, whoever owns that domain pretty much has endless possibilities when it comes to messing with teams and their fans in the future. Let’s just hope they use their influence for good. With great Crying Jordan power comes great Crying Jordan responsibility.
