You know Dan Le Batard, the “investigative journalist” who helped confirm the infamous “Who wants to sex Mutombo?” rumors during a grilling segment with Alonzo Mourning on the television program he co-hosts with Bomani Jones, Highly Questionable?
Well, he’s at it again, only this time, he is apparently willing to debase himself on a whole new level. Following the Cavs’ Game 1 loss in the NBA Finals Thursday, Le Batard went on his ESPN radio show and agreed to literally eat $h!t if the Cavs come back and win the title.
Le Batard is known for his somewhat controversial antics, such as when he pulled an elaborate prank (which earned him a suspension from ESPN) to put up cheeky billboards around the Akron area to commemorate LeBron James’ departure from the Heat last summer or when he offered the Rockets’ Twitter Guy a job after he was promptly fired from the organization for an insensitive tweet. This also isn’t the first time the conversation has taken a scatological turn on his show.
But Le Batard has to be sweating (a little bit more than usual) now after the Cavs gutted out a tough win in Game 2 Sunday behind LeBron’s superhuman triple double and evened up the series at 1-1 heading back to Cleveland. And just like that, the whole world became Cleveland Cavaliers fans.
