One of the main factors in the 73-win Warriors losing the Finals last season was Draymond Green’s suspension for repeatedly kicking dudes in the junk, and it looks like that problem hasn’t gone away in the slightest.
In the surprisingly close contest between the Warriors and Pelicans on Tuesday night, Green caught a minor shove from Pels guard Tim Frazier, which caused his leg to jerk up past belly-button height in what has become an all-too familiar sight. It just never gets less bewildering that Draymond either can’t or doesn’t want to stop flailing his legs in dangerous fashion, even after he’s gained a reputation around the league (and even among the wives).
Poor Tim Frazier is so short that if the kick had connected, it might very well have given him a concussion, but he was also luckily quick enough to avoid contact. The NBA office is on notice, and if Draymond doesn’t cut it out, he may wind up costing his team another game in the most crucial moment. At this point, it may well be the Warriors’ biggest concern.
