Jordan Clarkson is having a better summer than you. Yes, you. You, too. You there, in the back? Yeah, he’s having a better summer than you. All of you. Don’t protest. Don’t try and make your case, because Clarkson makes any argument null and void. Exhibit A: Clarkson is now dating Victoria’s Secret and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Chanel Iman.

That sound you heard just now? That’s the sound of your summer, crying in comparison to the Los Angeles Lakers guard’s. It’s okay, there’s no reason to be ashamed. Clarkson has a leg up on most of the competition because of the whole professional athlete thing.
Yet even Clarkson’s summer wasn’t without its lows. Because Clarkson’s mother is Filipina, he’s technically eligible to play for the Philippines’ national team. His father, however, isn’t too keen on the idea, telling PhilStar that, “Having Jordan participate with the Gilas in 2015 isn’t a logical or sound business decision as he enters into this important NBA contract year.” Clarkson later issued a statement, saying he’s going to talk with his father and iron out the issues in hopes of suiting up for the national team.
Still, all in all, even if he doesn’t get to play for the national team this summer, it’s still safe to say Jordan Clarkson won the summer.
