Sans Carmelo Anthony, rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis and the New York Knicks put up a valiant fight against the finally healthy Cleaveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night. LeBron James eventually took over the game and finished the Knicks off with nine fourth-quarter points, helping the Cavs to a 91-84 victory. James punctuated the victory with a dunk late, but the best action of the night may have come after the final buzzer.
Kevin Love threw up 23 points and 13 rebounds and the honor of the postgame interview was bestowed upon him because interviewing James every night is no fun. It was standard affair, except the Cavs were feeling extra jovial. Not only were they tossing towel after towel at Love with impressive accuracy, but LeBron decided to go all Attitude Era on Kevin and hit him with a Stone Cold Stunner.
It’s terrible form, but so were a ton back in the days when Stone Cold was dropping Vince McMahon on a weekly basis, so it works. For all the talk about LeBron and Love possibly having some friction between them – it was reported earlier this year that James was upset when Love came into camp out of shape last fall – they seem to be doing just fine these days.
