Bucks jumbotron does a bandwagon fan cam, makes 3-1 joke pic.twitter.com/ruBK4Kg2gm

The Golden State Warriors have become the bad guys of the NBA. This usually happens when a team is way better than everyone else (last year’s NBA Finals aside, of course). The success they’ve had has also led to them picking up a lot of new fans, the kind of fans who swear they are lifelong Cubs fans who just happened to wait until last month to buy their first Cubs hat.
Basically, while a lot of people really love the Warriors, there is a large population of Dubs supporters who are bandwagon fans. Nobody likes bandwagon fans, including the people who operate the jumbotron for Bucks games. We learned this because Golden State traveled to Milwaukee on Saturday and won, 124-121.
It was a good game – Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Klay Thompson, and Jabari Parker all went off for at least 28 points – but the best moment came when the Bucks did a “Bandwagon Cam” with people in the audience who were wearing Warriors gear. The screen would then say things like “Forgot Warriors blew a 3-1 lead” or “Doesn’t know which city the Warriors play in.”
Some credit goes to the Warriors fans who were picked on during this segment, because it seems like they took all of these jokes pretty well. Then again, they probably went through this when they were Heat fans from 2010-14, so they’ve developed pretty thick skin.
